In order to obtain the 15 day temp permit the drivers registration must be expired or their registration will be expiring within 7 days and you need to drive your vehicle to complete repairs/inspections and finalize your registration or they already have been granted a temporary permit and simply need to reprint it. Drivers should note that securing a temporary permit will come with an additional cost of $6.00 state permit fee + applicable renewal fees (ouch!). Most drivers will visit RenewalExpress.Utah.gov to simply renew or finalize their auto registration. In order to renew an auto online in the state of Utah using this service the drivers auto must not require an inspection, they have already received a temporary operating permit and need to finalize the registration, or the driver has already completed the renewal process and simply wants to return/view the renewal confirmation page.
